Co-founder of Home for Humanity Movement Professor Alexander Schiefer visited to Sarvodaya Sri Lanka in January 2025 to conduct the earth week. The Earth Week is a transformative 7 Days onsite co-learning and co-innovation adventure, offered 4 times per year in four different world regions by the One Home UnivEARTHsity for regenerative future building. It is an irresistible opportunity to be part of the epic One Home Journey 2024-2030 – 7 Years for 7 Generations to co-create an inclusive and regenerative future for the diversity of all life on Earth.

A transformative 7 Days onsite co-learning and co-innovation adventure offered by the One Home UnivEARTHsity for regenerative future building was hosted by Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement in partnership with Sarvodaya Institute of Higher Learning.

Each Earth Week takes place at a world-renowned pioneering future-building organization that is a member of the Home for Humanity movement and of the Earth Campus of the One Home UnivEARTHsity. The venue provides a vibrant life-based learning environment for aspiring future builders to “feel the future” while learning within a community of Earth Citizens from all continents.

Sarvodaya is one of their long-term partners in co-creation and was pleased to host 7 Days program in Sri Lanka with SIHL.

The second season of the One Home Journey started in Sri Lanka with a round table – interactive dialogue with local Civil Society in Colombo, co-convened by Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement and Home for Humanity.

Under the Theme “Earth Citizenship for our One Home Planet” social activists of diverse religions, ethnicities and societal sectors came together to explore how to build an inclusive and regenerative society, relating to the inspiration of Sarvodaya’s holistic development model called ARTHA DHARMA and of the One Home Journey’s experiences.

A number of relevant co-creation possibilities were surfaced, in Sri Lanka and on a planetary Level. The event took place in the Sarvodaya Nagarodaya Center (Nagorodaya means Urban Awakening) in Colombo. Dr. Vinya Ariyaratne called the event, which was also attended by representatives of Sri Lanka media, “a potent inauguration of the Sri Lanka Earth Week”
