We welcomed a group of medical students from the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University to the @Sarvodaya HQ last week for their Community Engagement field practicum. Dr. Vinya Ariyaratne, Sarvodaya’s Honorary President, facilitated a discussion on public health initiatives in Sri Lanka, followed by an interactive session led by our Director, Udesh Fernando, focusing on Sarvodaya’s approach to development. They had immersive interactions with our staff from the Disaster Resilience Unit, Deshodaya, Sustainable Agriculture Unit, SGD Model Classroom, Sarvodaya Suwasetha, and Vishva Niketan International Peace Center, gaining insight into our work.
