First Training Session for English Language Teachers under the SERELT Program Commences

We are proud to announce that the first training session for English Language Teachers (ELTs) of the SERELT (Skills Enhancement of Rural English Language Teachers in Sri Lanka) programme kicked off on 16th May 2025 at the Badulla Regional English Support Centre (RESC).
This milestone marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to strengthening English language education in underserved areas—empowering rural teachers with the knowledge and skills of both indigenous and international exposure, and confidence to create lasting impact.
With the collective support of HSBC Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Education, the Postgraduate Institute of English (PGIE) – OUSL and the Sarvodaya Institute of Higher Learning (SIHL) present SERELT to the nation with our shared purpose and partnership to create meaningful change, where it is needed the most.
