The DVV International recently concluded their National & Regional Dialogue Platforms on Adult Education in Sri Lanka with a diverse array of stakeholders in attendance. The event fostered crucial dialogues and facilitated the exchange of ideas vital to the advancement of Adult Education within the community. The resourceful insights and contributions of the speakers and partners have been held in the highest regard, enriching the discourse and yielding a bountiful harvest of ideas.

Dr Vinya Ariyaratne – Honorary President of the Sarvodaya Movement delivered a Key Note Address on the importance of Adult Education in Sri Lanka with a special reference to the model of the Sarvodaya Institute of Higher Learning (SIHL). Mr Udesh Fernando, Director of SIHL also took part as a panelist speaking on the topic ‘Unveiling Adult Learning and Lifelong Learning Landscape in Sri Lanka Challenges in Integration and Implementation : a Civil Society Perspective‘.

Our District Coordinators of the Badulla and Monaragala Districts attended the DVV Regional fora.
