Sudarshani holds an MSc. Political Science from the, University of Kalaniya. Her MSc Dissertation was on Internal Political Party Democracy of Sri Lanka. She has read for a B.Sc. (Hons) Political Science and Public Policy degree from the University of Colombo and has achieved a First Class Honours. She currently works at the Sarvodaya Institute of Higher Learning (SIHL) managing and coordinating a project on the Right to Information, Constitutional Reforms and Local Governance. She is also a content developer and a visiting Lecturer at Al Mustafa University. She is also resource person to ‘Rupavahini Jathika Pasala’ an initiative of the National broadcaster, Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation. Shehas worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and public Policy, University of Colombo. She is an author and published her maiden book, ‘Usage of Sri Lankan Democracy’with the Godage Publishing House. She frequently writes to newspapers and magazines on politics and political reforms. Her key scholarly and professional interests are: Politics and Public Policy, Party Politics, Democracy, Political Movements, Political Rights and Political Empowerment.
